Simple SketchUp Model & Research



Added Stair cases and bridges to connect upstair to an outside area. Materials for this could be like the one i made from wire and knots. 



Looking at creating the house in to a shape more like this one, having all the house on one level and just lifted, keeping the middle/bottom level as a staircase area that can be flooded and drained.

Wellington has the highest rate of sea level rise in NZ and Highest areas in the region that are vulnerable to coastal flooding over the next 100 years.
The sea level in Wellington is currently increasing at 2.03mm/yr.
Areas at risk of flooding are: The mouths of rivers and streams including Otaki, Waikanae, Hutt and Whakataki Rivers. 
Due to climate change storms that we get will increase in severity. Storm tide events may become longer, increasing the likelihood of coastal erosion and flooding.
